helpful distractions

I find that distracting myself from hunger or from any situation that involves food, is crucial for my every day routine. remember, routines work best, you body learns when to expect food and you get used to the hunger and constant workouts.

I like to clean, clean myself, clean my room, clean my house and clean my pets. This i find, benefits in many ways, it takes my mind off cleaning and allows me to improve myself. Showering seems to make me not hungry anymore, taking long baths and sorting through your stuff and cleaning out definately helps too.

I find that exercising on an empty stomach makes you feel like shit and you dont exercise as well. I eat an apple or a few pieces of lettuce, or anything under 50 calories before i burn off 500 calories. This motivates me to exercise more and shed that extra weight but it also gives you some energy. so exercising can be a good distraction from hunger.

There is also my favourite trick. Thinspiration! i google it, i blog it, i read it and weep over it. Thinspiration is the ultimate distraction. I keep many photos of skinny girls and make it my goal. Everytime i think of taking a binge session or eating, i look at these pictures, and tell myself not to.

pro ana is there for a reason. Pro ana keeps us strong and motivated.

mind over matter

I find that associating food with disgusting things, like finding a worm in my lettuce and letting my imagination run wild, helps me pass up meals. I work myself up and even begin to avoid meal times and food stores altogether because i'm repulsed by them. I love to watch fat people eat. It reminds me that food does that to you and also, i love the feeling of passing up food while my friends all gorge themselves and feeling triumphant in the idea that i will be skinnier than all of them. It's all in the mind.

so just remember, if you can convince and trick yourself into rejecting food. You will be sucessful :).

stay strong and keep it up!
